Located just south of Daytona Beach along a famous stretch of A1A, Daytona Beach Shores is an idyllic coastal town that enjoys a lower cost of living and lower real estate prices than other Florida beach towns. Residents here have the luxury of enjoying all of the benefits of coastal living, while still being close to big-city amenities across the bridge in Port Orange or Daytona Beach.
Daytona Beach Shores was first organized by local business people in 1960 with the goal of establishing a smaller community that could provide better services to local residents. A real estate boom throughout the 1970s and 1980s saw a number of high-rise condominiums built along the beach. A number of other condos were built in the 1990’s and 2000’s, and though there are a number of single-family homes, the majority of residents live in condos today.
As a Daytona Beach Shores resident myself, I’m uniquely positioned to introduce you to this fantastic coastal lifestyle.
